Hello, I’m Jasmine King

I’m Jasmine, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and it is my passion to see individuals overcome life challenges and go on to lead productive and content lives with healthy relationships. I want to see people live their lives to the fullest.

For me, this journey began in 1998 as I navigated life as a young mother, recent college graduate, and newlywed who had just moved to a new state and started my first job as a Foster Care Case Worker. There have been many life lessons, however, I have grown leaps and bounds since that time. I have been witness to the devastating effects extreme loss, generational trauma, injustice, despair, guilt and shame can have on a person. I have also had the privilege of witnessing undying dedication, faith, hope and love, even during the toughest times. The resiliency in the human spirit is truly amazing.

I have worked, for the past 18 years, primarily with the Military Population. I have had the opportunity to help active duty service members, retirees, and their families navigate life during and after military service.

In my work, I aim to be compassionate, genuine, collaborative and warm. I’ve been told that I can also be rather funny at times. I want you to be who you are too, as we steer through your journey towards insight and self-discovery. I believe in an approach where you feel comfortable to take on an active role in your treatment, creating an opportunity for self-awareness and long-term change.

I am trained in various therapy modalities which include: Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Additionally, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based treatment for trauma.

In my spare time, I enjoy catching up on my favorite television shows and I look forward to putting in miles on my Spin Bike. I am also a Mom of two.
